Q: Do you need an ISBN for a Kindle book?
A: No. However, it’s a good idea to have an ISBN for your books if you can obtain them relatively easily, because you are then recognised as the publisher of your book, as well as the author. (Note: if you also publish on CreateSpace they give you an ISBN free.) Here’s an interesting post about one person’s experiences with digital publishing, including his comments about the desirability of having an ISBN for your book(s): http://www.dragosroua.com/how-to-self-publish-on-amazon-kindle-and-ibookstore/
Q: Do we work at a Challenge task set by you each week?
A: No. You decide your own personal ‘challenge’. What do you need to work on? At the beginning of the Challenge I will post information and resources that will help you. For example, I will have downloadable PDFs with tips on how you can structure your 10-week Challenge, how you can set goals, pacing yourself, avoiding burnout, getting organised, and so on.
Q: How do you make thumbnails of photos that readers can click on to view the full size?
A: If you’re using a WordPress blog, you can choose to do this in the ‘upload’ dialogue box when you click on the ‘upload/insert’ button.Read more about it here.
If you’re using XSitePro to create a static website, it has a handy widget wizard that will create a thumbnail for you from any photo. You can also create a photo gallery that uses thumbnails.
If you’re using other software to create your website, you will need to read the User Manual or try Googling ‘how do I create thumbnails for my website?’ to find out more.
